I
Welcome!
I'm not just here as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor—I'm here as a fellow human being. Honestly, I wish I had known how to express my emotions during the first 20 years of my life. Over the years, I’ve met so many people who, like me, grew up feeling unseen and unheard, with emotions buried deep inside.
While no two stories are exactly the same, the emotional impact often is. Everyday struggles get minimized or ignored because we were never taught how to talk about them—or even that they matter. You don’t need a tragic past to feel like your emotional world has been overlooked.
For over 30 years, I’ve been studying emotions, perceptions, and personal transformation. It’s more than a profession—it’s my passion and life’s work. My mission is to help people harness the power of their emotions and beliefs to create lives that feel meaningful and fulfilling.
“Staying with a negative experience past the point that’s useful is like running laps in Hell: You dig the track a little deeper in your brain each time you go around it.”
— Dr. Rick Hanson
A Little About Me
I hold a BA in Psychology & Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a professional member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals.
Writing is one of my creative outlets, and I’m a proud co-author of four bestselling collaborative books:
Manifestations, The Grateful Soul, The Courageous Heart, and Returning To Real: Embracing the We in Me (2022).
How I Work
My approach to therapy is holistic, blending traditional talk therapy with mind-body techniques to support your unique goals and intentions. I am certified in Compassionate Inquiry (CI) and trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a brain and body-based trauma therapy. I also integrate practices from:
My Lived Experience
I’m also a wife, mother to three adult daughters, and proud grandmother of four. I’ve lived through divorce and understand the weight of parental guilt. These life experiences have shaped my empathy and strengthened my belief that even in our hardest moments, we can uncover what truly matters.
It might sound surprising, but I’ve seen firsthand how a shift in perception can transform everything. If you're looking to reconnect with meaning, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll get raw, risky, and real.
My Areas of Focus
I work with individuals facing a range of challenges, including:
Beyond the Office
When I’m not in session, I’m often running marathons, curling, writing, traveling, or spending time with my family. These moments keep me grounded and grateful.
If you’d like to learn more about my story and approach, I invite you to listen to this podcast interview with Suzanne Harmony on Harmony Helps.
