🌿 Why New Perceptions?Perceptions shape reality.
What we see in life depends on where we are coming from.
— Dr. Gabor Maté
Every one of us views life through a lens crafted by our experiences, beliefs, memories, and emotional patterns. These lenses influence how we interpret situations, how we feel about ourselves, and how we relate to others. Often, we don’t realize we’re wearing them—until we begin to feel stuck, anxious, or disconnected.
At New Perceptions, the goal is not to tell you who you are or how to think—it’s to help you see with new eyes. When we become curious about our inner world—our thoughts, feelings, patterns, and assumptions—we create space for insight, healing, and meaningful change.
"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
— Marcel Proust
Curiosity is one of the most powerful tools for transformation. It allows us to meet ourselves—not with judgment, but with openness. It invites us to explore rather than avoid. When we’re willing to look inward with a compassionate and open mind, we begin to shift. And as our perceptions shift, so does our reality.
A new perception can be the first step toward:
- Letting go of old narratives that no longer serve you
- Healing from past emotional wounds
- Reconnecting to your intuition, purpose, and values
- Living more fully, freely, and authentically
We are a Mother, Daughter & Friends Team, rooted in a holistic approach to therapy. Our approach to therapy is as unique as our clients. Working to balance the mind, body, and heart, we listen for triggers of wisdom in your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and together find New Perceptions. We support you in connecting to thoughts, stories, emotions and beliefs and accept them with self-compassion.
We align ourselves with evidence-based practices that are strength driven; providing distinctive methods of discovering the means and wherewithal that increase self-awareness & joy. Our goal is to create a safe place in which you can really explore yourself and your situation in a new light. Choosing self-growth is a courageous decision and we congratulate you for taking the step towards the life that you want. Nurturing your own development isn't selfish. It's a great gift to other people.
Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it’s our greatest measure of courage. ~Brene Brown
